Today's workforce wields increasingly powerful tools that can multiply human capability—but only with the right knowledge and skills. While organizations rapidly modernize their technology, traditional training methods lag behind advances in other fields like AI, cybersecurity, robotics and autonomous systems. This creates dangerous knowledge gaps that, in high-stakes environments, can cost lives, missions, and millions in resources.
Ethos is the first AI-enabled Human Readiness Platform that identifies and addresses these knowledge gaps before they become operational failures. We can quantify skills and competencies critical to an organization, assess the proficiency of a team, and drive targeted interventions that improve organizational performance.
Founders Andrew Powell and Sasha Seymore launched Ethos in 2019 from a shared commitment to national security, with Sasha's experience as a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer providing crucial insight into readiness challenges.
Through Stanford's "Hacking 4 Defense" program, they prototyped solutions for Department of Defense training challenges, working alongside veterans who investigated the tragic USS McCain and USS Fitzgerald collisions. These partnerships revealed how gaps between advancing technology and human preparedness can have devastating consequences.
Today, we serve the world's most demanding organizations—U.S. military branches, Fortune 500 companies, and championship professional sports teams. Our diverse customers have one thing in common: when lives and missions depend on performance, readiness becomes the only metric that matters.
