Redwood City, CA – Ethos, the leading provider of scalable, secure, and data-driven training solutions focused on human readiness, today announced the appointment of Cory Jones as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Jones brings more than two decades of experience in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and mission-critical software engineering across government, defense, and enterprise technology.
As Chief Technology Officer, Jones will be responsible for shaping and executing Ethos’s forthcoming technical strategy, overseeing product development, and advancing the company’s mission to deliver secure, scalable solutions for enterprise and government customers. He will lead Ethos’s engineering organization, guide innovation across the Human Readiness Platform, and ensure the company’s technology investments align with customer mission requirements and long-term growth.

Most recently, Jones helped build the Public Sector Mission Engineering team at Scale AI, pioneering and integrating advanced AI/ML and large language model capabilities into operational platforms for government needs. Before that, he held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Shift5, and during his tenure there the company significantly increased revenue, growing from $3 million to $20 million, while the engineering team expanded to over 30 members. He was also instrumental in the successful completion of their Series B fundraising round.
Jone’s career began with over 15 years in senior technical roles at the National Security Agency (NSA), the Department of Defense (DoD), and related government contractors. There he specialized in cyber operations and mobile device security, trained military and government personnel, architected and managed large department-wide programs, and regularly briefed senior policymakers at the White House and U.S. Congress.
